About Alfredo
Alfredo Guzmán Schwartz was born in 1947 in Guatemala city. At a young age, he fell in love with painting and drawing. Seeing Alfredo's talent and passion for the arts, his father encouraged him to pursue a career as an artist. Alfredo attended la Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas from 1964 to 1968.
His career as an artist spans more than five decades. Known primarily as a painter, he has also produced sculptures and prints. His artworks have sold internationally in Europe, Japan, North America, and Latin America.

He currently lives in Calgary, Alberta. Alfredo continues to push the boundaries of creative expression through his modern art which speak to various topics ranging from global warming, the human soul, and the beauty of the cosmos. Along with his abstract creations, his love of mother nature continues to inspire his landscape pieces.
